Organisers of the Sanremo Song Festival held every year in the Ligurian city have announced the list of guests who will appear and perform during the 60th edition of the 5 day long festival.
Brits Robbie Williams and Susan Boyle have been confirmed as guests while US performer Lady Gaga is a ‘possibility’. DJ Bob Sinclair will also perform on stage as well as the German pop group Tokyo Hotel. Non-musical guests include Queen Rania of Jordan and Lost & Avatar star Michelle Rodriguez.
Italian names include singer Elisa, actor Raul Bova and footballer Antonio Cassano.
The Song Festival – official name Festival della Canzone Italiana di Sanremo – has been held in Sanremo since 1951 and despite mixed fortunes and popularity over the years it remains a highlight in the Italian TV and popular culture calendar and a reference point for the music and record industry. The festival this year starts on 16th february with its grand finale on Saturday 20th.
